Quinta Paços do Lago is located in the parish of Campanário, inserted in a rural area, and as such, it is part of the agro tourism since it is integrated in an agricultural exploration developed with the purpose of allowing guests to follow up, knowledge and participation in agricultural works, properly guided. It is inserted in a natural environment surrounded by autochthonous plants, allowing the usufruct and the integration of several platforms of plantations, gardens and a large solarium, combining simplicity, beauty and comfort in obedience to the semiology and characteristics of the good style and design of traditional Madeiran buildings, with the aim of making the most of all the advantages and physical conditions of the place. The Quinta is decisively influenced by the traditional aesthetics, internally preening a classic style by the use of bulky spaces. The rationality of its trait aims at its functional and practical ergonomics, necessary for the tourist use for which it is intended, coupled with a careful sustainable tourism management. The statement of the new architectural presence accepts the reality in its context of rural insertion, excelling by harmonizing with its environment a traditional time and a certain complex and mysterious sensuality in the desired modernity, to the point of merging.

Suites

The suites of the Quinta Paços do Lago transmit in the perfection the nature, charm, elegance and art of Quinta’s beauty. When accommodating here you embrace a century of family tradition and the sensation of living is tangible. Each suite combines classic style and unique design with contemporary accents and they are equipped to the highest luxury level and comfort. Classic furniture in warm wood and velvety fabrics blend to draw an elegant and demanding interior, complete with vases of fresh flowers, traditional tiles and pictures with paintings exulting the art of the painters and musicians who named the suite. Outside, during the day, the color of the lime-washed walls dances with the sun in brushstrokes of Impressionist texture. At nightfall, only the sigh of a slight breeze and the singing of the birds interrupt the silence and the peacefulness of this place.

Quinta’s Bar

The Quinta’s Bar consists of a cozy lounge, an elegant barbecue and a pleasant solarium that extends to the pool, surrounded by fruit trees and a vineyard of verdelho.

Solarium area

Decorated in soft cork tones and designed to embody the style and comfort of country life, the Bar reflects the classic elegance associated to the Quinta.

Beautiful tables arranged on the wooden floor enhance the rustic appeal of the environment. In the solarium the armchairs placed on basalt walkway offer a more restful sensation, outdoors.

In the morning, the atmosphere is lively, relaxed and welcoming for the first meal of the day, consisting of a continental buffet with a variety of fresh homemade pastries, coffee, tea and selected dairy products, jams and assorted cold meats, fresh fruit and juices produced at the Quinta.

Breakfast Time: 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

Guests can also order room service (by appointment) from an exclusive menu, including eggs prepared at the moment and served in a variety of ways.

A kind employee in classic-style uniform serves breakfast promptly.

Throughout the day and night the Quinta’s Bar presents itself with an informal and convivial atmosphere, offering a selection of Portuguese wines and spirits, as well as sandwiches and juices made at the Quinta.

By nightfall the lights are reduced creating a more intimate environment, promoting a hug at nature and a dreamy look at the starry sky in the field.

The consumption is managed by the guest, registering the articles consumed in an account roll (by Suite).

Great Lounge

Indulge yourself with a dinner prepared in the old tradition of Portuguese gastronomy, accompanied by a selection of Portuguese wines. The lounge is cozy with its wainscoting floor and panels on the walls of afizélia wood, decorated with classic provocative style. The Feeling leads us to a splendorous past, where the art of living flows through the taste of good food, the drag of good wine, a fluent conversation and a piano playing in the warmth of the fireplace.
